The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC), in cooperation with the Environmental Security Department of the Internal Security Forces (Lekhwiya), has carried out inspection campaigns in desert areas across the country, to detect environmental violations and to enhance compliance with the respective laws and regulations.
The Wildlife Protection Department confirmed that it had issued a number of notices against those who violated the laws and regulations. It also called on visitors to wild areas and meadows to preserve them and report any violations via the hotline 16066.
