Qatar Charity(QC), in partnership with the UN Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), unveiled the identity of the "Humanitarian Impact Forum 2025."
HE Chairman of Qatar Charity Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Jassim al-Thani and HE the Minister of State for International Co-operation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser al-Misnad unveiled the identity, which reflects the forum's core objectives and mission. Th event was attended by several ministers, representatives of international organisations, civil society organizations, and research centers in Qatar.
This ceremony marked the official introduction of an annual event that will become a transformative platform for addressing critical gaps in humanitarian co-ordination, driving innovation, and fostering sustainable solutions. The forum's annual event for 2025 is expected to take place in the last quarter of the year.
The forum aims to gather key stakeholders from the humanitarian and development sectors to discuss the challenges facing global humanitarian responses, explore collaborative approaches, and set the stage for the future of this ongoing initiative. The collaboration between Qatar Charity and OCHA will serve as a powerful catalyst for strengthening humanitarian systems and creating impactful, people-centered solutions.
In her opening remarks, HE al-Misnad reaffirmed Qatar's unwavering commitment to supporting international efforts and humanitarian diplomacy in extending cooperation to all countries and organisations that share the same vision in achieving humanitarian development and strengthening international collaboration. She emphasised the importance of providing sustainable and effective solutions to ensure aid reaches those who deserve it.
She also highlighted the role of Qatari humanitarian diplomacy, which is not confined to itself, but rather extends to all of humanity, offering support to those affected and assistance to those in need.
For his part, CEO of Qatar Charity, Yousuf bin Ahmed al-Kuwari, said: "Qatar Charity looks forward to the forum enhancing effective humanitarian action and reaffirming the commitment of Qatari humanitarian organisations--both governmental and non-governmental-- to supporting the transition towards a more effective humanitarian response."
He added, "Humanitarian impact will be the guiding compass of this forum, by adopting measurable outcomes as a performance benchmark in humanitarian work, enhancing accountability, and ensuring the sustainability of humanitarian solutions."
In this context, Dr Ahmed Marii, Representative of OCHA, Doha, said: "The complex political landscapes of conflict zones demand innovative, collaborative solutions.
