Läderach, the renowned Swiss chocolatier celebrated for its premium handcrafted chocolates, has officially opened its latest store at West Walk, an air-conditioned lifestyle destination in Doha.
Läderach already operates at key locations such as Salwa Road, Doha Festival City Mall, Hamad International Airport, and Place Vendôme Mall, a statement said.
The opening ceremony was graced by the Swiss ambassador Florence Tinguely Mattli, Läderach managing partner Mohamed Yousuf al-Jaber, general manager Taymour Mershad along with a number of dignitaries.
Speaking at the inauguration, Swiss envoy Mattli, said: "We have a long-standing tradition of excellence and innovation in chocolate-making, and it is wonderful to share this with Qatar, a nation that truly appreciates fine chocolate.”
Mershad expressed enthusiasm about the brand’s expansion and the evolution of Läderach’s identity. “We are thrilled to open another store in Qatar, and this location is special because it also features a coffee shop. We have also modernied our brand with a new logo, transitioning from a classic to a more contemporary look."
Since its founding in 1962, Läderach has been synonymous with top-quality Swiss chocolate and confectionery. The family-owned company employs over 1,000 people and is headquartered in the canton of Glarus, Switzerland.
Läderach has been producing its own chocolate mass since 2012, ensuring sustainable quality control from cocoa bean to final product. The company operates exclusively from Switzerland and has expanded globally with over 80 chocolateries in Switzerland, Germany, the UK, the US, Canada, and various locations across the Middle East and Asia.
