Aspetar, Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital announced receiving its second consecutive Diamond-level accreditation from Accreditation Canada’s Qmentum International programme, with a perfect score, to be the first healthcare institution globally to reach this milestone.

Acting Director General of Aspetar, Khalid al-Mawlawi, expressed his immense pride in the team’s achievement, stating: “Achieving the Diamond Level Accreditation with a perfect score for the second consecutive time, as the first medical institution globally to do so is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team.”

“It validates our ongoing commitment to providing world-class care to athletes and patients and reinforces our position as a leading institution in sports medicine globally. We are immensely proud of this achievement and remain committed to pushing the boundaries of healthcare excellence,” al-Mawlawi added.

Aspetar’s Diamond-level accreditation from Accreditation Canada is particularly noteworthy, as it marks the first time a healthcare organization globally has achieved 100% compliance with all applicable criteria in two successive accreditation cycles. This remarkable accomplishment underscores Aspetar’s dedication to excellence and its position as a leader in sports medicine.
