The 12th edition of Qatar International Agriculture Exhibition (AgriteQ 2025), which concludes Saturday has provided local farmers and farm owners with great opportunities for exchanging successful experiences in the field and served as a platform for displaying the latest innovations and technology that could enhance the sector in the country.

A number of Qatari farm and agriculture production company owners spoke to local Arabic daily *Arrayah.

AgriteQ 2025 Organising Committee vice-chairman Mohamed Ibrahim al-Sada said that the exhibition has received considerable number of visitors from all walks of life, especially since the venue has been shifted to Katara – the Cultural Village.

The location and site are more suitable for the exhibition, he said, with ample parking lots and easy access for all, adding that there is room for the exhibitors to display more products with adequate storage area.

Sheikh Faisal bin Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani, chairman of an agriculture company, said that AgriteQ 2025 has evolved into a platform for the latest technological solutions in the field.

It also displays various successful experiences in the field that would eventually benefit local farmers.

Further, Sheikh Faisal added, the participating Qatari companies present various innovative solutions through their active partnerships with the relevant international counterparts.

He also pointed out that Qatar has made several achievements in attaining food self-sufficiency in dairy products, eggs, fresh meat and others in addition to reaching an advanced stage of agriculture production.

Agrico founder and director Nasser al-Khalaf said that his company has presented a number of innovative solutions to support sustainable agriculture in Qatar, and provide fresh products to many outlets inside Qatar throughout the year using the least possible amount of water and energy.
