The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) President HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani, attended a lunch banquet hosted by the Chinese President Xi Jinping Friday in honour of the guests of the opening ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games, 'Harbin 2025'.
The ceremony was also attended by a number of senior figures and sports leaders in Asia, Executive Board members of the Olympic Council of Asia, and members of the Harbin 2025 Organising Committee, a QOC statement said. The ninth Asian Winter Games is being held in Harbin, China, until Feb 14, with the participation of 1,275 athletes (755 males and 520 females) representing 34 National Olympic Committees from the Asian continent.
