Lusail International Circuit has brought its world-class facilities in the spotlight during a media tour on Wednesday.

The tour, less than three weeks ahead of the Qatar 1812 KM - FIA World Endurance Championship 2025, has demonstrated Qatar as a mega-event hub and major sports and entertainment destination.

Highlighted during the tour were the circuit's three designs which fit motorcycle, Formula 1 and endurance racing and a variety of activities such as walking, cycling and running.

The participants also learned about the advanced infrastructure, particularly the 402.1-meter long Motorsport Pitlane Building, for which the Circuit won a Guinness World Record as the longest in a racetrack.

Also in the spotlight were the facility's advanced multi-level lighting system, control center, logistical services, enhanced security and safety measures and the 400-personnel media center.

Commenting on this occasion, CEO of Lusail International Circuit Abdulaziz Ali Al Mohannadi explained that the circuit is a leading platform that combines motor sports and major events, as it is preparing to host many distinctive events during 2025, including the "Qatar 1812 km" race, MotoGP race, Formula 1 race, in addition to prominent regional and local championships.

In a press statement, Al Muhannadi said that these events, hosted by the circuit annually, are not just races, but integrated experiences that provide the public with an exciting atmosphere and an opportunity to enjoy motor sports at the highest level.

He added that at the circuit, they continue to build a sporting legacy that strengthens Qatar's position on the world stage, thanks to the continuous support of the media and the passion of the fans, and they are committed to pioneering, to ensure that Lusail Circuit remains one of the most important motorsport destinations in the world.

For his part, Executive Director of Operations at Lusail International Circuit Ali Al Dosari considered this media tour an opportunity to introduce the events and benefits hosted by the circuit during the 2025 season, which includes rounds of the most prominent world championships in Formula 1, MotoGP motorcycles, and endurance races.

In a special statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Dosari said that the circuit is currently ready to host the Qatar 1812 km race, the opening race of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship season, which we hope will witness a huge public participation to enjoy the special events accompanying the event.

He added that Lusail International Circuit has world-class components in all aspects, both in terms of track and facilities, and it also holds the Guinness world record as the tallest building in maintenance for motorsport with a length of 402.1 meters.

Marketing and Communications Manager at Lusail International Circuit Fatma Al Qaedi explained that the aim of the induction tour is to communicate with the local media and social media platforms; to introduce them to the facilities of the Lusail International Circuit and the existing preparations to host the Qatar 1812 km race, the opening race of the season of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship, scheduled between 26 and 28 February.

Speaking to QNA, she said that the Circuit annually hosts iconic international events, starting from Formula 1, through MotoGP and the FIA World Endurance Championship, which makes it attract hundreds of thousands of fans from all over the world, providing an opportunity to highlight Qatar's ability to host global sporting events.

She added that at the Lusail International Circuit, they not only seek to raise awareness by hosting these global benefits, but also to create a lasting impact by providing experiences that highlight the rich culture and heritage of the State of Qatar on a global scale, as well as bringing the local identity to the global by working closely with global bodies such as Formula 1 to adapt their vision while highlighting the unique identity of Qatar through local storytelling and interactive experiences.

The capacity of the fans at the Lusail International Circuit reaches more than 40.000 fans, including the stands and distinguished hospitality areas, which ensures an exciting atmosphere for all attendees.
