Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has reiterated the need for the international community to assume its responsibilities to support the implementation of the two-state solution regarding the Palestinian issue.

In a phone call with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday, El-Sisi highlighted his country's efforts to ensure the full implementation of the Gaza ceasefire deal, prisoner swap and humanitarian aid access into the Gaza Strip along with efforts to urgently begin efforts to rebuild the enclave.

For his part, the French President stressed his country's support for Egyptian efforts in this regard.

Regarding the situation in Syria, the two presidents expressed their commitment to the unity of Syria and the integrity of its territories.

They also underscored the importance of consolidating the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, restoring stability and realizing the Lebanese people's aspirations of security and prosperity.

The two sides also affirmed fostering cooperation across various fields, and bilateral consultation and coordination on regional and international issues of common interest.
