The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, is organising a stamp exhibition titled “Qatar World Cup 2022 Stamps”, on the occasion of the National Sports Day (NSD) 2025, in co-operation with the Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani Museum.
The exhibition, which opened on Sunday, at the Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Museum, displays until the end of February a collection of Qatar World Cup 2022 stamps, by Mohammed Zantout, a member of the center, along with a selection of stamps from the first World Cup football tournament under the name 'World Cup' in Uruguay in 1930.
The exhibition documents what was accomplished in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, through the stamps that were issued, in addition to medals and postal envelopes, in an invitation to amateurs interested in stamp collection and for visitors to the exhibition, which is open daily.
The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center aims to sponsor and spread the hobby of stamp and numismatic collecting, advance it, provides conditions for its members to practice this hobby and to develop it by all means and methods, and encourages amateurs to participate in exhibitions.
