A Palestinian succumbed to his injuries on Saturday evening after being shot by Israeli occupation forces during a raid on Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus.
According to Palestinian news agency (WAFA), the Palestinian was critically injured by live fire during the incursion and was transported to a hospital in Nablus, where his death was later confirmed.
The raid targeted the area around the Balata refugee camp and Al-Quds Street, east of the city. The Israeli forces deployed snipers on rooftops and used live ammunition and tear gas during the attack.
The raid came as the occupation forces were conducting raids into the houses of prisoners set free as part of the second batch under the Gaza ceasefire agreement to prevent any "public displays of joy".
It also came as the Israeli army has been launching a massive raid on the Jenin city and refugee camp since last Tuesday, killing 15 Palestinians, wounding dozens, and forcing nearly 2000 Palestinians to leave the camp.
In the same context, A 17-year-old boy was injured by a rubber-coated metal bullet last night during an Israeli military raid in the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
The incident occurred in the Abu Sneineh neighborhood in southern Hebron, where Israeli forces stormed the area and raided the home of Akram Badawi, a recently released detainee. Badawi was freed earlier in the day as part of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
According to eyewitnesses, the forces fired live and rubber-coated metal bullets during the raid and warned Badawis family against gathering to welcome him. The injured teenager was struck in the head by a rubber-coated bullet and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
