The competitions of Al Tal'a and Al Da'wa Championships have concluded in seven categories at the 16th edition of the Qatar International Falcons and Hunting Festival (Marmi 2025).

The festival, organised by Al Gannas Qatari Society and sponsored by HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani, with support from the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund (Daam), runs until February 1.

Mohammed Mubarak al-Ali, chairman of Al Tala’a Committee, said that the final was as exciting as expected.

He praised the performance of all participants who worked hard to train their falcons and provided an honourable performance befitting the Qatari falconer.

Falconer Masoud Abdullah al-Mudhahka, a member of the Barzan team that won first place in the Tal’a Championship, said that the 10-year-old falcon “Adheeb” from Kazakhstan gave the team the crown.

He praised the efforts of the Falconers Association and the organising committee of the Marmi Festival.

The winners at Al Da'wa Championship in various categories expressed their thanks to the organising committee, hailing the good arrangement of the field.

They explained that the Marmi Festival gives them a strong incentive to continue the hobby and pass it on to future generations.
