The Dragon Boat Racing Finale 2024, hosted by Old Doha Port, brought together over 500 participants and hundreds of spectators.
The competition featured Qatar Airways Aero Dragons, Nefer Racing Dragons, American School of Doha, Onslaught Racing Dragons Qatar, K1 Kasagwan, and Angry Dragons, a statement said Sunday.
"Hosting this remarkable maritime event underscores Old Doha Port’s commitment to fostering Qatar’s water sports culture," said Mohamed Abdulla al-Mulla, CEO of Old Doha Port.
“Old Doha Port proved to be the perfect setting for this high-energy sporting event, offering an accessible and picturesque location for spectators and participants alike,” said Fares al-Bakri, secretary general of the Dragon Boat Regatta Qatar.
“Our partnership with Old Doha Port serves as a preparation for future race planning with the ultimate goal of hosting the 1st International Dragon Boat Regatta next year on Qatari grounds,” he added.
