The fifth edition of the Flower Exhibition, organised by the Souq Waqif Management in collaboration with the Agricultural Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality, opened Wednesday for 12 days in the western square of the popular Doha landmark.

A total of 24 farms and plant nurseries specialising in the production of annual flowers, fruit-bearing trees, vegetable seedlings, ornamental plants, and decorative trees are participating. This year, the exhibition venue has been specially prepared, including a flower garden and waterfalls made of roses.

Mohamed al-Salem, general supervisor of the exhibition, said the event boosts the segment concerned by bringing local nurseries together under one roof at Souq Waqif.

The exhibition is open to the public daily from 9am to 10pm, and on Fridays from 4pm to 10pm. The event attains significance especially since the weather is favourable for home gardening.
