The Qatar Tennis Federation continues its preparations to host the Qatar Exxonmobil Open 2025 Men's Tennis Tournament, which will be held from February 17 to 22, 2025.
The Qatar ExxonMobil Open Men's Championship is one of the major tournaments in the international tennis calendar, witnessing the participation of the most prominent players and world rankings.
The Qatar Tennis Federation held a press conference Monday to reveal the latest preparations for the tournament, where it announced the signing of an agreement with Doha Bank to become one of the official sponsors of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open Tennis Championship for three years.
This partnership is the first of its kind between the Qatar Tennis Federation and Doha Bank, reflecting the bank's commitment to supporting sports and actively participating in organizing major events held in the State of Qatar.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Doha Bank by HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Fahad bin Faisal Al Thani, CEO of Doha Bank Group, and Tariq Zainal, Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation, on behalf of the Qatar Tennis Federation.
The CEO of Doha Bank Group expressed his happiness with the partnership with the Qatar Tennis Federation, which comes within the framework of supporting sports and athletes in Qatar, stressing that the cooperation between the two parties aims to confirm the efforts aimed at achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 by developing the sports sector in the country, and enhancing Qatar's position as a leading destination for hosting the most important international tournaments.
For his part, Tariq Zainal, Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation, underlined the importance of this partnership, which contributes to enhancing the tournament's global position and the continuity of the success it has achieved over the past years.
He said that the agreement will enhance the success of this prestigious tournament, which is considered one of the most prominent sporting events in the region and the world.
He noted that the Qatar Tennis Federation is keen to organize the Qatar ExxonMobil Open Men's Tennis Championship 2025 in the best possible way, especially after its upgrade to the 500-point category, and the value of its prize money will be increased.
He added that the next edition will be distinctive at all levels.
Qatar ExxonMobil Men's Tennis Championship has witnessed a great development this year after it was upgraded from the 250-point category to the 500-point category within the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) classification, after 32 years since the start of this sporting event in Qatar.
