Al Daayen and Simaisma Youth Centre, under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, is organising the 13th edition of the Kshtah exhibition for land and sea trips and camping equipment from Tuesday for 10 days.

The event will be held in an outdoor tent in front of the Simaisma and Al-Daayen Youth Centre, running daily from 10am to 10pm, with the participation of 65 entities, including traditional food outlets, producing families, sponsors, and specialised Qatari companies in the field.

Nawaf al-Mudhahka, chief of Al Daayen and Simaisma Youth Centre, told local Arabic daily Arrayah that this year’s exhibition has eight strategic partners, such as Al Daayen Municipality, the Community Police Department from the Ministry of Interior, Community Outreach Programme in Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatari Diar, GMG Holding, Lusail Sports Club, the Shooting Sports Club, and Al-Jumailiya Youth Centre.

He said that several outdoor tents have been allocated for producing families and home-based businesses to showcase their traditional food products, enhancing their marketing and outreach opportunities. The exhibition will feature the launch of the Entrepreneurship Programme aimed at preparing the young people for the job market.

This includes activities and training sessions focused on personal skills, entrepreneurship, and understanding the steps and skills needed to establish and successfully run small businesses, alongside tackling challenges faced by entrepreneurs. Interactive workshops will be held in collaboration with Lusail Sports Club.

Al-Mudhahka pointed out that the exhibition will showcase a variety of activities and entertainment programmes for the visitors, aiming to encourage Qatari companies specialising in camping supplies and to attract young Qatari entrepreneurs and professionals in the camping sector. The Kshtah exhibition will include a comprehensive collection of travel and hunting equipment, covering everything from falconry supplies to hunting trips, in addition to raw materials such as iron, wood, and fabric used in such trips.

Visitors can find products for cars, birds, travel and picnic bags, tents, mats, and everything needed by outdoor enthusiasts, besides dates, coffee, brass coffeepots, perfumes, incense, clothing, traditional handmade mats, carpets, and essential camping and survival gear.
