The Forensic Medicine Center at the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Scholarship Section of the Human Resources Department, hosted an orientation session on Tuesday for Qatari students at Qatar University's College of Medicine. The session aimed to encourage students to pursue specialisations in forensic medicine.
During the meeting, Assistant Dean of the College of Medicine for Student Affairs Dr. Halima Al Farsi called on students to benefit from the orientation meeting that was organised to understand the nature of forensic medicine work and the opportunities available to students, praising the joint cooperation between the college and the Forensic Medicine Center.
Major Dr. Noura Abdullah Al Yahri, forensic medicine consultant and head of the technical affairs department at the Forensic Medicine Center, stated that the meeting aimed at establishing further cooperation with the College of Medicine at Qatar University and introducing students to the role of the Forensic Medicine Center in serving justice, security and society.
Dr. Ibrahim Al Rumaihi, forensic medicine consultant at the Center, provided a set of scientific information to answer all the inquiries and questions raised by male and female students during the orientation meeting.
First Lieutenant Salem Al Dosari from the Scholarship Section of the Human Resources Department made a presentation on scholarships department and its services provided to students either inside or outside Qatar, mechanism and procedures for scholarships, and support offered to students on scholarships by following up on them academically at all levels and overcoming any obstacles they may face.
