In collaboration with the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), the Qatar Media Center, a Ministry of Culture affiliate, wrapped up a cybersecurity training course.

The three-day course, as part of the centre's summer programme, aimed to introduce participants to the safe use of the Internet, social media, and the digital realm.

Cybersecurity coach at NCSA Eshraq al-Hazbi delivered the course, raising participants' cybersecurity awareness amidst the current digital transformation and heavy social media usage. Al-Hazbi informed participants on the principles of safe Internet browsing, understanding cyber threats and their impact on individuals and organisations, in addition to providing them with the knowledge and means to deal with those threats.

Moreover, participants learned ways to protect their personal data and identify suspicious, malicious users and activities.

Upcoming on the Qatar Media Center summer programme is a training course on public speaking, to kick off on Monday and run for three days. Registration can be done through the course's code on the centre's digital platforms.
