About 70 people were injured, 40 of whom were taken to hospital, as a result of a collision between two trams in the Russian city of Kemerovo.
Local authorities reported that a malfunction occurred in the brakes of one of the two trams, causing it to increase in speed and collide with the tram in front of it. Forty people were taken to the hospital, three of whom were in serious condition.
A criminal case was thereby opened under the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements.
