HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday morning.

After the meeting, HE the Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi issued the following statement:

At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet praised the outcomes of the official visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Republic of Cyprus and the state visit to the Hellenic Republic.

The Cabinet emphasised that the expanded and fruitful discussions that His Highness held with the leaders of the two friendly countries focused on developing and strengthening bilateral cooperation with them in various fields, in addition to issues of common interest, most notably the developments in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian territories. These discussions reflected the extent of the State of Qatar's well-established relations and advanced investment partnerships with both the Republic of Cyprus and the Hellenic Republic. The discussions also embodied the common aspiration to advance the relations to expanded and broader horizons, as well as the common interest in everything that would serve the interests of peoples and enhance regional security and global peace.

The Cabinet congratulated Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah on the occasion of his appointment as Crown Prince of the sisterly State of Kuwait, wishing him success, and the fraternal Kuwaiti people further progress and prosperity.

After that, the Cabinet considered the topics on its agenda as follows:

First - the Cabinet was informed of the Shura Council's approval of a draft law amending some provisions of the Qatar Financial Centre Law promulgated by Law No. 7 of 2005.

Second - the Cabinet approved a draft decision of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology to extend the deadline for regularizing the status of postal service providers subject to the provisions of Law No. 15 of 2023 promulgating the Postal Services Regulation Law.

Third - the Cabinet approved the following:

1- Signing and ratifying the statute of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Police Cooperation and Coordination Center.

2- A draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the State of Qatar, Qatar University, and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

3- A draft MoU regarding establishing a mechanism for political consultations on issues of common interest between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova.

4- A draft MoU between the Foreign Ministry of the State of Qatar and the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development of Canada regarding a mechanism for bilateral political consultations.

5- A draft MoU between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development of Canada, regarding development cooperation.

Fourth - the Cabinet reviewed the following matters and made appropriate decisions:

1- A report on incentives for the use of electric and hybrid cars in the State of Qatar.

2- The annual report of the Qatar General Organization for Standards and Metrology.

3- The semi-annual report of the Committee for the Regulation of Ownership and Use of Non-Qatari Property.

4- A report on the outcomes of participating in the Extraordinary General Assembly for the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS).
