For a span of three days, the Israeli military has imposed a strict blockade on the Gaza Strip, barring entry and exit through the Rafah crossing, as reported by Martin Griffiths, the UN's emergency relief coordinator.
This blockade encompasses a complete halt to the flow of essentials such as fuel, trucks, generators, water, electricity, and the movement of both people and goods.
Griffiths emphasized the dire consequences of this blockade, stating that it leads to a severe deprivation of aid and exacerbates the already dire situation for civilians in Gaza. Despite ongoing humanitarian crises, assistance is being obstructed, leaving the population in a state of desperation and vulnerability. Gaza's plight persists, despite enduring months of suffering.
