The Cultural Village Foundation Katara in collaboration with the Embassy of Spain in Qatar, organised a musical event on Friday featuring the renowned Korean pianist Sonja Park and the Korean violinist Joo Young Oh at Katara Drama Theatre, attended by a large audience of various nationalities.
Spain's ambassador to Qatar Javier Carbajosa Sanchez highly appreciated Katara's efforts in promoting different forms of culture and arts and stressing the good Qatari-Spanish relations in various fields.
The repertoire included excerpts from famous and elegant Spanish musical compositions in classical and romantic music. Pianist Sonja Park has performed in major concert halls worldwide. She is considered a unique talent in piano performance, enchanting audiences with her magnificent playing that transports listeners to imaginative and creative realms. Joo Young Oh is one of the most prominent multi-specialty violinists. He has been active as a solo performer worldwide, giving musical performances and appearing solo in numerous international music halls.
