Students from Qatar won three advanced positions at the 15th Arab Robotics Championship, organised by the Arab Society for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in Jordan from April 26-29, which saw the participation of more than 400 Arab students at the level of schools and universities.

Eight teams each from Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) and the Qatar Scientific Club affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth participated in the tournament.

The ministry participated with four students who obtained advanced positions in the School Robotics Championship, and two trainers, in addition to team supervisor Aisha al-Mansouri, a senior guidance expert in the Information Technology Department at the MoEHE.

Omar Bin Al Khattab Secondary School for Boys won the title of Arab Champion and first place in the "Line Tracing" Competition (Advanced), while Sumaya Primary School for Girls won the Arab Champion Title and second place in the "Line Tracing" Competition (Advanced), while Amr Bin Al Aas Secondary School for Boys won The title of Arab Champion and third place in the "Collecting Balls" competition (advanced).

The other participating teams received a number of incentive awards, with Al-Ahnaf Bin Qais Preparatory School for Boys winning the Best Programming Award in the "Sumo Competition" (Advanced), Moaz Bin Jabal Primary School for Boys winning the Programming Award in the "Collecting Balls" Competition (Beginner), Qatar Academy winning the "Best Idea" award, and Omar Bin Al Khattab Secondary School for Boys winning the "Best Presentation and Presentation Skill" award. – QNA
