QSE index rises 0.01% at start of trading

The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose 0.86 points, or 0.01%, at the beginning of trading on Thursday, reaching the level of 9,666.74 points, compared to last closing.

The general index was backed by a rise in four sectors: Telecoms by 0.74%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.31%; Insurance by 0.26%; and Banks and Financial Services by 0.04%. On the other hand, QSE index saw a decline in Industrials by 0.01%; Real Estate by 0.49%; and Transportation by 0.84%.

At 10:00 am, 37.220 million shares were traded in 2,542 transactions valued QR 69.920 million.
