New look Mitsubishi ASX comes to QAC showroom

With a fresh look, modern technology and a more powerful engine, the new Mitsubishi ASX is available now at Qatar Automobiles Company (QAC) showroom at Salwa Road in Doha, and in Al Khor, a statement said Monday.

The new ASX adopts Mitsubishi’s latest Dynamic Shield front design language with LED headlights and taillights. The new rear skid plate and the front bumper finished in silver makes the ASX seem a bit more rugged. The LED taillights work with conventional turn indicators in the reconfigured tail lamps, while a rear fascia and bumper design deletes a lot of chrome work and sharpens its visage.

The 2.0-litre engine with MIVEC technology delivers a maximum torque of 197Nm/4,200rpm and output of 110kW. The MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspensions make driving on rough roads smooth and comfortable, while the shock absorbers and stabilisers are precision-tuned for responsive handling and sporty, comfortable performance.

One of the three driving modes facilitate fuel-efficient driving and outstanding 4WD performance. The engine is teamed with the INVECS-III (Intelligent & Innovative Vehicle Electronic Control System) CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), tuned to deliver effortless acceleration from any speed.

The Active Stability Control system uses onboard sensors to analyse the vehicle’s motion and identify lateral wheel slippage.

By governing engine output and applying braking power to the appropriate wheels, ASC helps to maintain stability and control. In addition, a gear shift indicator in the multi-information display recommends the best shift timing for current driving conditions.

The safety features of ASX include Blind Spot Warning/Lane Change Assist, a 7-airbag system, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Hill Start Assist system and Emergency Stop Signal System. There is up to 358 litres of cargo space available even with five occupants.

The ASX is equipped with the state-of-the-art technology features including a 8-Inch Display Monitor, Smartphone-Link Display Audio that works with voice actions, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems, a nine-speaker audio system with DTS Neural Surround and jointly developed with the Rockford Corporation, and Bluetooth, Hands-Free Kit, Link System, the statement added.
