Doha’s modern venues and buildings, along with its focus on the local heritage and traditions, drew many residents and tourists to enjoy the Eid festivities in the past few days.

The country’s beaches and parks also attracted large numbers of visitors, especially the beaches outside Doha such as the Sealine Area and Al Wakra beach, and other beaches at west and north of the country, with their magnificent scenery and well-equipped facilities.

The modern road network linking all parts of the country have made it easy and hassle-free to reach any place in Qatar within a relatively short time.

In addition, the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram services have eased the lives of many, and have seen greater turnout of passengers throughout the Eid holidays, allowing them to reach various destinations and enjoy the various Eid events without having to worry about possible traffic delays or looking for a free parking lot.

At the same time, Doha has become a well-frequented place by many GCC visitors during the holidays.

These visitors say that the city is considered among the best family-friendly destinations for them, sporting various affordable options with regards to accommodation, transportation and others.

They also pointed to the country’s wide variety of food options that appeal to GCC citizens, in particular Souq Waqif with its heritage architectural layout, Katara – the Culture Village, and Old Doha Port.

The GCC visitors noted that Doha has become a must-go place to spend holidays, especially the short one, and that with every new visit, they discover better improvements for all aspects of life.

The Sealine beach has also received large numbers of visitors of all ages and nationalities to enjoy the beach and sand dunes there, with all the necessary services and facilities available, such as quadbikes for rent, camel and horse rides, eateries, and various other service providers to make the trip of the visitors convenient and more enjoyable.

Other visitors have voiced their admiration and appreciation for the various cultural sites and museums across the country.

They say that Qatar has succeeded in establishing a modern wealth of culture with such iconic places such as the National Museum of Qatar, the Qatar National Library and the Museum of Islamic Arts.

Residents and visitors in particular enjoyed the active display of culture and artistic shows and displays as part of Eid festivities.
