Katara-The Cultural Village has prepared a packed programme to celebrate Eid al-Fitr over four days from Wednesday, featuring a variety of activities and events alongside the Katara Corniche and within several buildings and areas.

Katara will offer gifts for children, on the Katara Corniche from 6pm to 6.30pm and from 8pm to 8.30pm. There will be spectacular fireworks displays from 9pm to 9.10pm. Katara Corniche will also host a Qatari folk performance from 3pm to 9pm, alongside other performances by cultural groups from Morocco, Palestine, Egypt, and Syria. There will be music performances by Hamid al-Naima at Al Hikma Square (The Dancing Fountain) from 7.30pm to 8pm and from 9.30pm to 10pm.

Other featured performances include displays by local producing families of popular cuisines, in addition to henna stalls, calligraphy, and handicrafts displays and the stalls that pertain to Al Gannas Qatari Society.

The programme will further feature theatrical performances for families and children, such as the "People of the Sea" play from 6pm to 7pm, a children's orchestra from 7.30pm to 8pm, the theatrical play "Land of Life" from 8.30pm to 9pm, in addition to a military parade.

Katara Corniche will host several art and craft workshops for children, including those for flower and paper dough, origami flower, greeting cards, Eid cookie decoration, flower wreath, painting and colouring, postcard design and stamp sticking, stamp colouring, and balloon shaping.

Katara's art exhibitions will continue to be open to the public during the holidays. Various restaurants, cafes, and street food vendors in Katara, along with shops in the Tasty Street, will offer specialties inspired by various cuisines from around the world.
