The Centre for Indian Community (CIC) in Qatar recently commemorated its departed leader KC Abdurrahman. A senior expatriate activist and member of CIC and a long-time official of Qatar Charity, Abdurrahman recently passed away due to a cardiac arrest in Qatar.
"A tireless activist, Abdurrahman left an expansive legacy while leaving his mark on humanitarian activities in Qatar," the meeting noted.
Representatives from Qatar Charity also attended the ceremony to pay their respects to KC Abdurrahman. They acknowledged his unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes and his significant contributions to the welfare of society.
Mohamed Ali Saeed al-Ghamidi from Qatar Charity shared poignant words during the commemoration hailing the departed as a guiding light characterised by hard work, humility, philanthropy, and a unifying spirit.
CIC President TK Kasim fondly recalled Abdurrahman's three-decade-long commitment to philanthropy highlighting his instrumental role in supporting orphans and the less fortunate across multiple countries. “Under the aegis of Qatar Charity and CIC, Abdurrahman extended selfless service implementing numerous charitable initiatives in Qatar and his home,” he noted.
During the ceremony, Farid Khalil Sidhiqi and Mohamed Hamid from Qatar Charity, Ilyas Maulavi, Director, Ummul Qura Institute, VT Faisal, Mohamed Ali, Yasir KC, Faisal Abdul Majeed, PP Abdul Rahim, Zakaria, Shihab and Azi commemorated the legacy of the departed soul.
