Al Arabi coach Younes Ali stressed his team's readiness to face Al Wakrah on Friday in Week 20 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League at Saoud bin Abdulrahman Stadium.
Speaking to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 20 match against Al Wakrah, Al Arabi coach Younes Ali said, "The match is expected to be difficult due to the strong competition in the league.
"Al Wakrah are a strong team with a good defensive organization that enabled them to achieve positive results. Victory requires focus and discipline and I hope luck will be on their side in this match to win and get the three points.
"The team presents distinguished technical levels, but were not successful. I still have confidence in the players and our style of play. The technical staff and players did not spare any effort in order to win in all matches.
"I thank our fans who strongly supported the team since the beginning of the season and I urge them to continue their support until the end because this support has a great impact on the players on the field," said Younes.
Al Wakrah coach Jose Murcia said, "After the last match against Qatar SC, we first worked on the physical recovery process for the players and then focused on mental preparation for the next match, in conjunction with the technical and tactical preparation for this important game.
"Our competitor in the next match is a big club and a strong team, and it is certainly not the ideal season for them, but that does not prevent us from emphasizing that they are one of the strongest teams in the league and we respect this team as we respect all our competitors.
"We must show our best in the last four matches, because all possibilities are present in the final stages and the goal is very close to all teams. The competition has become stronger between the four teams in the top four and we are focusing first on the next match," said Murcia. (QNA)
