The General Administration of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has concluded the tests for the fifth level in the ‘Little Muhaddith’ competition for boys and girls.

The 10th edition of the competition was organised in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE). The public tests of the competition took place on March 31 for boys and on April 1 for girls.

According to a statement from Awqaf, 103 participants received full marks to win the prizes. These included 49 boys and 54 girls. Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Thani, director general of the General Administration of Endowments, said the winners in various categories will receive plaques and cash prizes.

He added that the competition witnessed a good response from students and the number of participants reached 8,713 from 480 public and private schools.

The ‘Little Muhaddith’ competition is organised under the supervision of Awqaf and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. This is in co-operation with the Da’wah Department and Jassim Bin Hamad Secondary School for Boys as part of the endowment bank’s projects to serve the Qur’an and Sunnah.

The competition aims at inculcating the love of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the hearts of the participants while inculcating morals and tempting them to follow the model of the Prophet.
