As part of its Ramadan campaign, 'Endless Giving,' Qatar Charity (QC) began implementing the Eid clothing project in many countries and for orphans and children from low-income families in Qatar.
Within Qatar, the campaign by the Programmes and Community Development sector at QC will benefit 3,200 children. In Somalia, 435 children sponsored by QC, received Eid clothing. Salman Salad Hussein, a 12-year-old beneficiary, said: “I am very happy to receive this wonderful gift. I will be able to wear new clothes on Eid al-Fitr.”
Iqra Yousef Mahmoud Abu Bakr, a 11-year-old beneficiary, said: “We thank the people in Qatar and Qatar Charity for this wonderful initiative that brought happiness to our hearts.”
QC in Bangladesh is expected to begin distributing Eid clothing soon to its 700 sponsored orphans.
