The Kuwait Pavilion at the Expo 2023 Doha, which concluded yesterday (Thursday) won the 'Most Educational' award. Engineer Samira al-Kandari, director-general of the Environment Public Authority and acting commissioner-general of the Kuwait Pavilion, expressed her happiness at the award in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Al-Kandari explained that winning this award reflects the role of the Kuwaiti pavilion, which offered many courses, lectures and events related to the environment and environmental sustainability. The pavilion succeeded in attracting many visitors, specialists and those interested in the environment to enjoy and follow the lectures that enhanced environmental awareness in addition to knowing the role of the Environment Public Authority in this regard.
Al-Kandari extended her thanks and appreciation to those in charge of Expo 2023 Doha and to all the pavilion workers throughout the six-month exhibition period.
The Kuwaiti pavilion at Expo 2023 Doha had several sections: the interactive area, the cylindrical museum, the Kuwait Oasis, in addition to the children’s area. The exhibition was based on modern agricultural techniques, technology, innovation, environmental awareness and environmental sustainability, as well as providing programmes to encourage, inspire and inform the public about innovative solutions aimed at reducing the phenomenon of desertification.
