Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi discussed in a phone call Thursday with his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar, regional developments, especially the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the Gaza Strip.
During the call, they discussed ways to stop the raging war on the Gaza Strip, ensure the protection of civilians, respect the rules of international law and international humanitarian law, and the necessity of delivering adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip.
The two sides underscored the importance of the Security Council's resolution which calls for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip during the holy month of Ramadan.
