In the presence of Qatar University's (QU) president, Dr Omar al-Ansari, the Sports Affairs Department concluded its Ramadan grass football tournament, with participation from 16 teams representing various colleges.

Two teams from the College of Engineering (Team A and Team D) advanced to the final match, with Team D emerging as the champions with a score of 2-1.

In a statement on this occasion, Dr Senaid al-Merri, director of the Sports Affairs Department, noted that organising such tournaments is part of the goal to provide a sports environment for everyone, enhance extracurricular activities for students, and to discover sports talents and gifted players. The grass football tournament was also organised and managed by students.

Dr Khalid Kamal Naji, dean of the College of Engineering, congratulated the winning team and participated in presenting the championship cup.

Abdulrahman Jalal, a student and the captain of the winning team from the College of Engineering, Team D, thanked QU for organising the tournament and providing all logistical and service-related support.
