Mohamed Saeed Haidan claimed the Big Tour title in the tenth round of the Longines Hathab – Qatar Equestrian Tour – at the outdoor arena of Qatar Equestrian Federation topping the One round against the clock 145-150cm showjumping class late on Saturday night.
Mohamed Haidan was flawless astride bay gelding Obama finishing the routine in best time of 66.53secs.
The Longines Hathab – Qatar Equestrian Tour is an annual domestic series with 14 rounds and this is its 7th season.
The Big Tour’s runners-up podium spot was claimed by Mohamed Khalifa al-Baker who clocked a spotless 70.25secs with bay stud Lissabon 56 while Khaled Abdulaziz al-Eid on bay stud Q Layen was third clocking 73.61secs.
The Big Tour winners were awarded their prizes by Faisal al-Kahla, Deputy Director of the Longines Hathab Championship.
Earlier, the Open Class One round against the clock (120-125cm) event was won by Hussain Saeed Haidan, who rode dark brown stud D Saucedo for a clean routine in fastest 54.74secs.
Abdulaziz Fahad al-Eid astride bay gelding Kayenne Of De Rocky Mounten was second (55.78secs) while Sultan Salem Badi al-Naemi on bay gelding Higgs was third in 56.86secs.
The Open Class poidum winners were awarded their prizes by former support rider Mubarak al-Rumaihi.
The 11th round of Hathab will be held from March 28-30 at the same venue.
