The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose 36.97 points, or 0.36%, at the beginning of trading on Sunday, reaching 10,248 points compared to Thursday's closing.
The QSE general index was backed by a rise in six sectors: Telecoms by 0.83%; Insurance by 0.47%; Industrials by 0.43%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.35%; Banks and Financial Services by 0.26%; and Real Estate by 0.12%. In contrast, the index saw a decline in Transportations by 0.07%.
At 10:00 am, QSE recorded 1840 transactions worth QR 49.764 million, distributed among 15.820 million shares.
