Members of the Government Engineering College Thrissur Alumni, Qatar chapter (Qget) convened for an Iftar event titled 'Punyanilavu 2024'.

The event at MES Indian School was attended by about 250 people, comprising members and their families.

Qget president Tomy Varkey welcomed the gathering. Firoz P T delivered a Ramadan message, underscoring the importance of perseverance and maintaining spiritual and physical purity.

Senior members Mathew Francis, Saleem, Rajan C K, John E J, Sherif, Abdul Aziz, Joy, P K Mohamed and general secretary Gopu Rajasekhar spoke. Event co-ordinator Ilyas Saleh proposed a vote of thanks.

The attendees also had the opportunity to delve into the heart of community farming at the school, through the "Grow Your Green Food (GYGF)" initiative spearheaded by Qget.
