The 11th edition of Ramadan Championship by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has started with the participation of officials and employees in addition to employees of contractors.
A total of 16 teams are competing in football while 18 teams are taking part in basketball. Table tennis competitions are witnessing the participation of more than 60 players, while the PlayStation - FIFA competitions are witnessing 38 players.
Abdullah Saad al-Saad, director of the Public Relations and Communications Department at Ashghal, said the championship is being held a cordial atmosphere while witnessing strong competition.
“Our goal is creating a fraternal gathering and reflecting the spirit of one family among all the teams working on Ashghal projects, as well as getting out of the work environment through sports. This helps restore activity and contributes to the development of the tournament,” he added.
