The radio programme "My Wish", produced by Qatar Charity (QC), airs live on Qatar Radio, as part of Qatar Charity’s committed endeavours to assist orphans through its "Rofaqa" initiative, in conjunction with the ongoing campaign aimed at sponsoring 5,000 orphans.
The programme seeks to realise the wishes of orphans by conveying their heartfelt voice messages from diverse regions around the world. It actively contributes to making these dreams come true, bringing happiness and joy to the hearts of these young individuals.
The programme airs daily from Sunday to Thursday at 12.15pm, hosted by the broadcaster Abeer Mubarak. In each episode, it highlights the wishes of children sponsored by Qatar Charity worldwide. It addresses the specific needs of orphans, such as simple gifts, medical treatment, school fees, and food, based on the requests of the orphans.
The programme also introduces the “Rofaqa” initiative, highlighting Qatar Charity's initiatives and programmes during the blessed month of Ramadan.
Qatar Charity offers a range of wishes, allowing donors to choose the wish they want to fulfill by sending an SMS with the donation amount to 92124.
Mubarak stated that the programme is distinguished by its unique concept, serving as a meaningful bridge between those in need and Qatar Charity. She highlighted Qatar Charity's consistent commitment to facilitating communication between donors and those in need.
She clarified that the programme's objective is to bring smiles and joy to the hearts of children and their families worldwide, noting the noble tradition of the generous people of Qatar, who extend a helping hand to anyone in need, whether within Qatar or abroad.
