The Investment and Trade Court participated in a workshop organized by the Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (Invest Qatar) today. Held under the title 'Dispute Resolution in Qatar', the workshop was attended by representatives of Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Center.
During the workshop, the court made an introductory presentation about the Investment and Trade Court and its objectives, including the case management system that aims to speed up litigation procedures and preparation before presenting them to the court for adjudication.
The workshop participants discussed a number of topics related to dispute settlement, including relevant laws and regulations, international best practices, and the role of government and private agencies in dispute settlement. They exchanged experiences regarding commercial dispute settlement, arbitration and mediation in the State of Qatar.
At the end of the workshop, the participants praised the efforts of the Investment and Trade Court in settling commercial and investment disputes, expressing their aspiration to enhance cooperation with it in the relevant fields. (QNA)
