Qatar's ambassador to Greece Ali bin Khalfan al-Mansouri said that the visit of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Doha emphasises the strength of the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, adding that it represents a significant opportunity for political dialogue and exchanging views on recent developments in regional and international positions.
Speaking to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the ambassador underlined the joint efforts of both countries to resolve international problems and conflicts through diplomatic means and to adhere to the principles of the UN Charter and multilateral international relations.
He added that the visit underscores the keenness of both countries to enhance their bilateral relations and their desire to expand and strengthen this co-operation to include new areas and perspectives to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples and contribute to enhancing regional and international peace and security.
The ambassador pointed out that both countries have a strong desire to enhance and diversify co-operation in all fields, especially since they both witness continuous economic growth, and there is a mutual desire and wide-ranging potential to develop partnerships, particularly in the fields of energy, investment, trade, transportation, culture, education, tourism, and sports.
