Qatar Charity (QC), in co-operation with Qatar Media Centre, continues to deliver specialised training workshops for primary school students, as part of the 'How to Be a Journalist' programme to develop their media and journalism talents.
Being held from February 24, the three-week programme, includes various specialised workshops and training sessions related to voice skills, news writing, media reporting, and creative content. The students are trained by a group of media and writing experts, including Dr Abdullah Faraj, Dr Ahmed al-Janabi, and Ahmed Zarfa.
The programme targets the students from Ali bin Abi Talib Preparatory School for Boys in Qatar. The workshops are conducted at Qatar Media Centre once a week. Certificates will be awarded to the participants at the programme's conclusion.
Abdulrahman Mohammad al-Hajri, director of the Programmes and Community Development Department at QC, said the programme will also be implemented for students from Amna Bint Wahab Preparatory School for Girls in April 2024.
