The Web Summit Qatar 2024 will commence on February 26, and run for four days, bringing together thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, and global tech leaders to discuss the latest tech and innovation updates.
To be held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), the Web Summit Qatar 2024 will aim to develop the the State of Qatar's tech business environment and open new horizons for international companies wishing to expand in the region in this sector.
HE Chairman of the Web Summit Qatar 2024 organizing committee Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al-Thani said that the State of Qatar is ready for the Middle East and North Africa's first Web Summit, adding that it will serve as an opportunity to introduce entrepreneurs, investors, tech and startup leaders to the State of Qatar's wealth of opportunities and potential.
His Excellency said that the Summit will see the participation of prominent figures, innovators, creators, and officials, including representatives from Amazon, Meta, Google, Shell, Huawei, Snapchat, TikTok, Wpp, in addition to a lineup of startup founders and owners.
This, HE the Chairman of the Web Summit Qatar 2024 organizing committee added, is a reflection of the State of Qatar's regional and global position, as global tech and digital solution leaders flock to the Web Summit Qatar 2024.
Out of thousands of applications, the Organizing Committee selected 1,100 startups from more than 80 countries, including dozens of startups from the State of Qatar, in addition to those from the United States of America, Egypt, Brazil, Italy, and Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and India, with these startups operating in more than 30 sectors.
In fact, the Web Summit Qatar 2024 will record the largest startup participation in the history of the Web Summit.
