The Assets Affairs of the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) is carrying out a comprehensive six-month technical training programme, titled ‘Operation and Maintenance of Mesaimeer Pumping Station and Outfall.’ Launched in November 2023 the programme is in collaboration with several local and international companies, Ashghal said on its X account.
Engineer Ahmed al-Ahmad, assets affairs director, said the programme meets also Ashghal’s transformation into digitisation and addresses the readiness of the local talents by having a hands-on training scheme to ensure operating expertise is obtained by key individuals within the operations departments.
Among the first batch are mechanical engineer Khalid Abdulsamad al-Makei and instrumental engineer Abdulaziz Nasser al-Hajri. They appreciated the benefits from the programme and the employment opportunities Ashghal provides for Qatari employees.
