Emirati Mohamed al-Balooshi emerged triumphant in the second round of the Qatar Off-Road Championship on Saturday. Al-Balooshi riding a KTM 450 rally bike clocked 2:01.06 seconds, to finish ahead 1.10 seconds of his brother Sultan al-Balooshi. Marwan al-Rahmani was third. In the Class 2 / Quad category, Mansoor al-Suwaidi topped the timesheets. Abdulaziz Ahli and Mohamed al-Shamsi finished second and third respectively. The Veteran Class 1 was won by Gerard Roelant Lubbinge, while Mohamed al-Shamsi took the top honours in Veteran Class 2. In the Cars category, the pair of Nawaf al-Sowaidi and Aisvydas Paliukenas emerged triumphant in the Class 1. Alexander Whyatt and Benjamin Jones were second, followed by Mohamed al-Thafiri and Sulaiman al-Helal. The Class 3 was won by Mohamed al-Harqan and Ali Obaid, with Omar Allahim and Bader al-Ajmi securing runner-up spot ahead of Dharl al-Dhafeeri and Emiel Stuckens.
