Researcher Khaled Walid Mahmoud obtained a doctorate in political science with an excellent grade for his thesis titled "Cyberspace and Power Shifts in International Relations", which was discussed on February 5, 2024 at Beirut Arab University, Lebanon.
The panel committee praised the distinguished level of effort taken to do the research. The researcher succeeded in portraying the importance of cyberspace in international relations in particular and social sciences in general, and an influential element, said the committee.
The researcher explains well the distribution of power and the international interactions and conflicts, as states and non-state actors have taken it as a means to enhance their influence and multiply their power, it has been pointed out.
The work also describes the parties involved achieve their goals by manipulating various forms of power.
Khalid Walid Mahmoud is currently the press attaché at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI).
