The ongoing 4th edition of Katara International Arabian Horse Festival is accompanied by several art and cultural activities, workshops and exhibition that celebrate the beauty and qualities of horses.
Haiaia al-Mohannadi, head of the exhibitions section at Katara - Cultural Village and supervisor of the workshops at the festival, said they seek to attract all age categories from different nationalities. The activities, supervised by a number of professional artists, run from 3pm to 10pm daily until the conclusion of the festival on February 11.
The workshops give special focus on the topics related to the beauty of horses and tell their history and their role in the Arab heritage, she explained.
The organising committee has hosted a market on Katara's beach, where the participating companies and shops and the entities supporting and sponsoring the festival display their products. Most of the products on display are related to horses.
