Aspire Zone Foundation, in collaboration with Zenit Saint Petersburg FC, will organize the first edition of the Equality Cup Football Tournament from Feb. 1 to 13 in Qatar at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium at Al Sadd Club.
The tournament will see the participation of four teams; current Qatar Stars League title holders Al Duhail, along with Brazil's Santos, China's Shanghai Shenhua and Russia's Zenit Saint Petersburg.
The 1st Equality Cup Football will kick off Thursday with Al Duhail facing Shanghai Shenhua, Santos will face Shanghai Shenhua on Sunday and Al Duhail will face Zenit Saint Petersburg on Monday.
The matches will continue Thursday, Feb. 8, with Zenit Saint Petersburg facing Shanghai Shenhua, while Santos will face Al Duhail on Friday.
The tournament will conclude on Tuesday, Feb 13 with Zenit Saint Petersburg facing Santos.
If any match ends in a draw after normal time, the result will be decided by a penalty shootout with no extra time. (QNA)
