The State of Qatar, represented by the Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC), is hosting the General Assembly of the Arab Investment Court (AIC) of 2024, as part of the SJC's support for the work of the AIC.

The State of Qatar chairs the General Assembly meeting, headed by HE Judge Nasser bin Sultan Al-Asiri, who was unanimously elected President of the AIC for the second session until 2025.

An elite group of judges and administrators participate in the Assembly, which is being held from Jan. 29 to Feb. 2, in addition to Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Legal Affairs of the Arab League Ambassador Dr. Mohamed Al Amine Ould Akik.

Affiliated with the League of Arab States, the AIC is one of the dispute resolution mechanisms and was created in 1993 in accordance with the Unified Agreement for the Investment of Arab Capital in the Arab States to be a refuge for Arab investors and a mechanism that helps facilitate the flow of direct investment capital between countries and Arab investment entities.
