Oryx International School has achieved a world-first by being awarded the IATA Environmental Assessment (IEnvA) Stage 2 Compliance Certificate, a significant milestone and achievement for the school’s commitment to sustainability and its environmental footprint, a statement said Sunday.
The IEnvA certification is the global industry standard assessment recognising the highest degrees of Environmental Management Planning. The aviation industry's impact on the environment is at the top of sustainability agendas.
Oryx International School is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qatar Airways and therefore contributed significantly to the airline’s overall award, showcasing the school’s dedication and alignment to the airlines global sustainability vision. The global airline group is the only organisation in the world to have acquired this status.
The school confirmed an on-going collaboration with the global airline to work towards achieving a world -first
IEnvA Level 3 standard in the upcoming years.
