His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani Friday received a phone call from US President Joe Biden.
During the call, they discussed the latest developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.
In this regard, President Biden extended thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Amir for Qatar's diplomatic and humanitarian efforts regarding the situation in Gaza.
For his part, the Amir underlined strengthening regional and international co-operation in order to achieve an immediate ceasefire, spare the blood of civilians in Gaza and protect them, and keep the crossings open for the sustainable entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip in order to promote peace and stability in the Middle East region, praising the role of the US.
The two sides also discussed the Qatar-US strategic relations and means of boosting and developing them.
